The Provincial Council of Women of Manitoba was formed in 1949 and has grown to represent some 32 Federate members, as well as many individual members and supporters.

The Annual Meeting 2010 for PCWM was held in Carman, Manitoba, on May 8th, 2010. "Women and the Economy:Past the Permimeter" was the theme. To see photos, click here.
 
The launch of the documentary, The Way We See It, was on Wednesday, May 6th, 2009. You can order copies of the DVD, with the guide book from orders@thewayweseeit.ca.
The Provincial Council of Women of Manitoba is federated with the National Council of Women of Canada.
A wonderful event was held on May 6th, 2008 at Government House,  Visiting Our Past, Building Our Future. The event celebrated the completion of the Babs Friesen Councils of Women Archival Project and the Oral History Project. Written records from both the Council of Women of Winnipeg, and the Provincial Council of Women of Manitoba were assembled, catelogued and depsosited with Manitoba Archives. As well, Oral Tapes of 13 long time  members of both Councils were made and transcribed and deposited with Manitoba Archives. His Honour The Honourable John Harvard, and The Honorary Patroness of the Councils of Women of Manitoba, Lenore Berscheid hosted us, with Lenore Berscheid giving formal greetings. Deborah Romeyen provided specical music. There were many displays of the history and work of both Councils. Over 100 members and guests attended and enjoyed this special occasion.
